Qibla Shadow II

(Testrun 2024)

Qibla Shadow II (Testrun) is a continuation of the Qibla Shadow calculator, a method for calculating the precise moment when the position of the sun aligns with the direction of the Qibla for a location you set. Unlike the traditional shadow method, this Qibla Shadow II application provides the exact time when the Sun and Moon are aligned with the Qibla direction at your location, according to tolerance range you choose, ranging from 6 arc minutes to 1 degree. The rationale for using this range is based on the method of determining direction using the shadow of an upright object, where the shadow does not show a significant difference even with a 1-degree deviation from the Qibla direction when viewed using measuring instruments.

Criteria:

  • Tolerance range : 10 arcminutes (0.17°)
  • Red: Best time - TOLERANCE RANGE 0.1° (6 arcminutes)
