Hilal Visibility Map
Mapping shows MABIMS 2016 criteria with additional criteria adapted from Odeh, Shaukat and McNally.
The mapping method involves calculating the position of the moon and sun at each coordinate at 1.5° intervals within a latitude range of 70° North and 70° South.
Calculations cannot be made outside this range at this time.
Green Line: Geocentric elongation 6.4°
White Line: Topocentric elongation 6.4° (Malaysia/MABIMS)
Yellow Line: Geocentric elongation 8° and altitude 5° (Global Hijri Calendar - Turkiye 2016 Proposal)
Blue Line: Apparent topocentric elongation 6.4° (observe)

Green: Easily seen.
